Music promo shoot with Gemma Louisianna

Back when lockdown had eased and we were allowed to get out, I headed down to Richmond Park to do some promo shots for singer, song-writer Gemma Louisianna. Me and Gemma met a good few years ago, when I was living and working in Peterborough. Gemma was a model on a shoot I assisted on for a photography magazine and since then we’d been hoping to work together again. As it turned out, we’d both moved closer to London and with the lovely summer we had, amongst spending most of our time locked in doors due to Coronavirus, it was the perfect time to catch up and capture some photos she could use to promote her music.

As I was driving to the location I pretty muched packed the majority of my gear (multiple lenses, flashes, triggers, reflectors etc), but as it turns out on the day I decided to just work with the natural light, a reflector and a prism. I normally shoot with my 24-70mm f/2.8 lens, but this time I chose to use my 70-200mm f/2.8 lens mostly.

As a big Taylor Swift fan, Gemma was inspired by her Folklore release and wanted to this to be captured in the style of images, so Richmond Park gave us the perfect natural/autumnal woodland feel.
